Izhavia has made a flight from Chelyabinsk to Baku. Deputy Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Yuri Klepov, Director General of the Chelyabinsk Air Enterprise Vladimir Reunov, Deputy Director General of Izhavia Yevgeny Shepkin, tourism operators have attended the opening of the flight service, AviaPORT reports.
Klepov noted that a lot has been done in the last 2 years. Flight service to Baku is another achievement.
There will be one flight on Wednesdays. Departure from Chelyabinsk starts at 10.35 am, arrival in Baku at 12.35 pm. Then departure from Baku will start at 5.30 pm with arrival in Chelyabinsk at 9.30 pm. The flight takes 3 hours. Flights will be available on Mondays on September 17, 2012, with returns on Sundays. Yak-42 with a capacity of 120 passengers will be used. The minimal ticket price is 195 euro and the flight back will cost 180 euro.
Direct flights from Chelyabinsk to Baku were launched in 2008. Two more flights to post-Soviet states will be available soon. Reunov said that Ural Airlines will start flight service to Tashkent in September 2012 and to Alma-Ata in April 2013.
