SOCAR began drilling a new oil well in the shallow part of the "Guneshli" field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, the company said on Thursday, Trend reports.
According to the report, the well is being drilled on the "Gunashli-13" platform by SOCAR-AQS joint venture.
"According to the geologists, about 100 tons of oil will be daily extracted from the well," the report says.
SOCAR's oil and gas production department "May 28" will exploit the well.
