Russia’s Sberbank increases mortgage rate by 0.5%

Russia’s largest bank, Sberbank, has increased the rate of its mortgages in rubles by 0.5% today, PRIME reports.

This includes the rate for purchases of housing with a rate of 10 to 30% (including 30-year deals).

The minimal rate was set at 13% for clients receiving wages at Sberbank and 14% for all other clients.

Mortgages with state support remain at 9.5% and 11% respectively, without change.

The mortgage rate has been unchanged since October 2010. They were adjusted according to the optimization project, it was stated by Natalya Alymova, director of Sberbank's department for retail crediting.
