Karavay Kubani, a bakery holding in Krasnodar, has increased the price of a loaf of bread to 17 rubles on August 1, 2012. According to the fixed trading margin of 10%, the price increased to 18.7 rubles, Yuga.ru reports.
So-called “social” bread is still baked at 14 rubles. 25% of all bread in the city is “social” bread.
The city produces 29,100 loaves of “social” bread daily. 24,900 loaves are produced by Krasnodar bakeries and 4,200 by bakeries near the regional center.
