The ecological department of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) will collect data to improve ecological monitoring and studies of greenhouse gases, Trend reports.
The department is cooperating with the Institute for Economic Studies of Germany. They have studied energy efficiency of technologies in SOCAR’s industrial areas and use of renewable energy sources.
The German institute and the ecological department have been cooperating since 2010 to modernize the strategy for reduction of SOCAR’s effect on climate changes.
