Turkmenistan Airlines will receive three new Boeings, CEO of the air company Merdan Ayazov told Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Trend reports.
The company has 19 Boeing-757s, Boeing-737s and Boeing-717. Turkmenistan plans to develop the national civil aviation program and have a total of 39 airliners.
Turkmenistan has transported 30 million passengers and about 400,000 tons of cargo and mail in its years of independence.
It has traffic of about 1.8-1.9 million passengers annually. 27,000 km were passed by the planes in 1992, 60,000 were passed in 2011.
