Turkmenistan to purchase English railway carriages

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has permitted the Ministry for Railway Transport to purchase specialized carriages in the UK, Trend reports.

Turkmenistan will buy Breyk Taim Club LLP 200 for petroleum transport and Stock Plaza LLP 300 to transport cement and fertilizers.

Turkmenistan, Iran and Kazakhstan are building the North-South Railway to give European and Asian states access to Central Asia and the Gulf using a shorter route.

Southern and South-Eastern Asian states, coasts of the Indian Ocean and Northern and Southern Europe will have better cargo transit opportunities through Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Russia.
