Turkey permits Russia’s Sberbank to purchase Denizbank

The Turkish anti-monopoly authorities have permitted Sberbank (Russia) to purchase Denizbank, Interfax reports.

Sberbank is buying 99.85% of the shares of Denizbank from Dexia (France). The deal is expected to be concluded in late 2012. Sberbank President German Gref said that Denizbank is worth 1.33 of the capital ($3.5 billion).
