Russia hopes for best while preparing for worst

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a meeting with regional ombudsmen. Besides social problems, they discussed economic issues. Putin responded to Ombudswoman of the Sverdlovsk Region Tatyana Merzlyakova, saying that the situation in the global and European economy was very complicated, the US economy had a state debt of 104%, Chinese economic development dropped.

“We should hope for the best, but prepare for the worst”, Putin said.

The president reminded that the government had started preparing anti-crisis measures back in 2011. He clarified that a large sum will be reserved for the budget of 2013. Russian economy is in good condition at the moment. Putin believes that the country has all it needs to withstand recession, ITAR-TASS reports.
