Mergen Shaliyev has been appointed by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as the acting Chairman of the Trade and Industry Chamber, Trend reports.
Shaliyev used to work as the Deputy Minister for Economy and Development. He will now replace Palvan Taganov at the chamber.
The Turkmen Trade and Industry Chamber was formed in 1994 to boost economic development, integration in the world economy, formation of industrial, financial and trade infrastructure, encourage business and expand cooperation with foreign partners in trade, economics, science and engineering.
