Iran builds second Bioimplant in Shiraz

A second plant producing Bioimplant, commissioning of which is scheduled this year is being built in Iran, Iran News reports.

The rector of the Medical University of Shiraz Dr Iman said that Iran is one of the few countries with technologies manufacturing Bioimplant. Until recently, this technology was in the possession of only two American companies.

Construction of the plant is held in a special economic zone "Shiraz", with the participation of the private sector, which has invested in the project about 100 billion riyals (approximately U.S. $ 8.2 million).

The plant will produce three types of Bioimplant used in treating bone problems, cardiovascular system, tendons and ligaments.
