UN experts monitoring fulfillment of anti-Iranian sanctions said that Iran had planned to expand its banks in Armenia. The Armenian Central Bank said that it was in control of all banks operating in Armenia, News.am reports.
The banks suspected are Mellat and ACBA Credit Agricole. Executive Director of ACBA Stepan Gishan denied the information. Mellat was banned from the SWIFT system and cannot make international transfers.
