Turkey has annulled transit tax for Georgian citizens until May 1 of this year, a Georgian Foreign Ministry consular official said on Tuesday, Business Georgia reports.
For transit through Turkish territory, newly introduced transit fees stipulate that loaded vehicles pay paid 1200 euros and empty trucks 600 dollars.
The delay in the introduction of the fees was due to a delay in informing the Georgian side, the official said, adding that this could cause problems for Georgians travelling to Europe.
