Russia to face no fuel shortages

The Russian Energy Minister Pavel Fedorov expects no shortages of petroleum at the domestic market in autumn-winter, RIA Novosti reports.

The Russian Finances Ministry is planning changes in the Tax Code to adjust excise duties.

Some Russian regions suffered from fuel shortages and rocketing fuel prices in spring 2011. The government increased custom fees for gasoline to 90% of oil custom fees on May 1, 2011. Oil companies were ordered to set a schedule to reconstruct their refineries, make fuel reserves and monitor the situation weekly.
