Iran and Turkmenistan to resolve transit problem

Spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehmanparast said that the Badzhgiran Village and Ashkhabad (Turkmen capital) will have their transit problems resolved in the near future, Trend reports.

The village is located 75 km away from Guchan and 40 km from Ashkhabad, at one of the three checkpoints on the Iranian-Turkmen border.

Turkmenistan closed the checkpoint on the border in September. Traders, exporters and truck drivers filed numerous complaints to reopen it.
