Iran limits currency import and export

 

The Central Bank of Iran has implemented a $5000 limit to import and export of currency, Trend reports.

The currency rate increased after the press conference of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad yesterday. The rate increased by 3000 rials and reached 36200 rials for $1.

Iranian national currency dropped in price by 17% on Monday. The dollar rate on Monday was 29700 rials and totaled 35500 rials at night. The population lost a total of 660 trillion rials.

The dollar rate was 36500 rials in the first half of Tuesday and 32600 in the second half.

The euro rate dropped from 47200 to 43000 rials. Pounds dropped from 55800 to 52100 rial.
