Iran records increase in industrial output

While Western countries saw industrial stagnation last year, Iran (where the year starts on March 21) the volume of industrial production increased by 8%, the first vice-president and press secretary of Iranian government Mokhammadrza Rahimi said, Trend reports citing the ILNA news agency.

He added that the last year was also successful for Iran in the field of development of international relations in the economic sphere, with the Iranian side signing agreements on development of economic relations with several countries.

Regarding Iran’s nuclear program, Rahimi said nothing new had happened. “We declared the peaceful nature of our nuclear research and that we don’t intend to produce nuclear weapons,” he said.

He pointed that for supply of nuclear reactor in Teheran by 20% uranium Iran is ready to accept from any country offers of reasonable charge.

“Some countries have accepted our offer but then refused,” he said. “So the government decided to enrich uranium to 20% on the territory of the country.”
