Russian chief sanitary inspector does not expect Georgian wine soon

Russian Chief Sanitary Inspector Gennady Onishchenko says that, despite political changes in Georgia, its wine will not be imported in Russia in the near future, Interfax reports.

Contacts with business continue, he adds. The chief sanitary inspector will meet Georgian wine-makers in Moscow today. Onishchenko said earlier that Georgian wines and mineral water was not imported due to Tbilisi’s position. Russia considers giving access to new Abkhaz wine-makers to the market at the moment.
