Members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) plans to increase trade turnover to 20% of their common volume before 2015 within the framework of the 10-year program, OIC Director General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said at a conference of the committee for trade cooperation, Trend reports.
OIC states had a trade turnover of 14% of their total volume in 2004 and 18% in 2008. Ihsanoglu urged private business of OIC states to activate trade. He added that the organization plans to boost investments in transportation, energy and trade.
