Tajik Air stops flights to Tehran

 

Tajik Air has halted the Dushanbe-Tehran flights due to the dramatic fall of Iranian currency and conversion complications, News Azerbaijan reports.

The flight on October 13 was cancelled. People are returning their tickets. The flight was made twice a week.

Foreign air companies demand Iran to pay for jet fuel in foreign currency.

BMI (Britain) and AirAsia (Malaysia) stopped flights to Iran. Iranian currency has suffered a dramatic fall in the last two weeks. It has dropped by a third in just 10 trade sessions. The unofficial currency rate is $1 = 37,500 rials, the official rate is $1 = 12,260 rials.
