Turkey plans to complete the construction of the largest military
research center in the east of Istanbul in the next eight to ten
years, Defense News reports. Teknopark Istanbul will become a kind
of analogue of America's Silicon Valley in the defense industry,
Lenta.ru reports.
The park will occupy 950 thousand square meters on the territory of
the International Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen and may be the largest center
of its kind in Europe.
It was previously reported that Teknopark Istanbul will mainly
specialize in military and civil aviation, as well as space, land and
marine systems, electronics and information technology.
