Armenian inflation reaches 2.5% in September

Annual inflation in Armenia reached 2.5% in September 2012 compared with September 2011, the National Statistics Service of Armenia reported.

 

In comparison with August, prices grew by 0.8% in September; in January-September prices grew by 2.3% in comparison with the same period in 2011.

 

Moreover, the report states that economic activity grew by 4.4% in September 2012 compared with September 2011. The budget requires that inflation in Armenia will be at the level of 4% this year, with GDP growth at 4.2%.
