Kazakh president signs law on ratification of free trade zone treaty

 

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has signed the bill on ratification of the free trade zone treaty, Trend reports.

The document lifts custom fees for imports, except such products as sugar and vodka from Ukraine. Kazakhstan may set fees for exports of oil, metals, colza, sunflower, gases.

The treaty was signed in Saint-Petersburg on October 18, 2011. It is to conclude implementation of free trade as a priority of the CIS. The document takes principles of the World Trade Organization into account.

States involved in the treaty may have consultations in case of disputes. The CIS economic court may help resolve disagreements.
