Georgian Minister for Agriculture David Kirvalidze said today that formation of a fund for agriculture worth a billion had started, Business Georgia reports.
The minister noted that he will discuss service centers, irrigation centers and harvesting with Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili. A strategy will be developed for the said topics and will be financed by the fund.
The official said that the currency of the fund has not been decided yet. The sum in lari should be equivalent to half a billion dollars. The dollar currency could give a major boost.
