The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) has purchased ITERA-GEORGIA, a Georgian gas distributor.
SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said that audit of the purchased company had started in 2010. SOCAR has been active in gasifying Georgia and is familiar with the local market. The official said that the cost of buying the company was not that big.
