Iran has banned imports of luxury, cars, computers, watches, household equipment, mobile phones, coffee, toilet paper and other products, Interfax reports.
A total of 75 products were banned. Iranian Minister for Trade Sazan Kodaei said that mobile phones and laptops may be taken off the ban list, because they are not produced in Iran.
The import ban will save about $4 billion for the country, but would also encourage smuggling.
