Moscow supports the decision of the Tashkent court to return
property to the daughter-company of Russian mobile phone operator MTS
in Uzbekistan, the official website of the Ministry says.
This July the Uzbek agency for communications and information suspended the
licence of Uzdunrobit for three months and then annulled it.
The Tashkent court supported this decision. On November 8, the Tashkent court
satisfied the appeal by Uzdunrobit, the daughter-company of MTS, concerning the return of property that was confiscated by
Uzbekistan. It also confirmed that the $600-million debt of MTS-Uzbekistan should be paid off within 8 months.
