Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee sums up 10 months

The Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee says that non-petroleum industry grew by 6.8% in January-October 2012, petroleum industry dropped by 5%, Trend reports.

Industrial production was worth 28.5 billion manats, dropping by 3.9%, compared with January-October 2011.

The private sector shared 81.6% of total industry. 92.3% of industrial output was products, 7.7% was services.

Extraction industry dropped by 6.2%, totaling 21.7 billion manats, having a share of 76.1% of industry. Oil extraction totaled 36 million tons, gas 14.4 billion cubic meters, gold 1.3 tons, silver 503.6 kg.

Processing industry had output worth 5.3 billion manats, increasing by 7.6%, compared with 2011.

Car and trailer production dropped by 73.1%, chemical industry by 15.8%.

Production of electronics increased 8.4-fold, rubber and plastic 2.6-fold, electric equipment 2-fold, furniture 2.8-fold.

Food production increased by 7.6%, meat production by 2.5% totaling 1,700 tons, salad oil by 64.9% to 53,400 tons, butter by 1.8% to 19,400 tons, margarine by 23.3% to 18,200 tons.
