Iran has found an alternative way to save energy - efficient motors. The chairman of the board of directors of the Organization on the development and modernization of the industry (ODMI), Gholam Reza Shafei said that replacing old motors will save up to one thousand megawatts of electricity.
In case the government allocates resources needed to replace old motors in industrial facilities, the ODMI might offer relevant consulting services and control the process of installing new electric motors, Gholam Reza Shafei said, Iran News reports.
