Studies of dead birds in Chushki (Temryuksky District) and Yantar (Anapa) in the Krasnodar Territory show presence of the AH5 bird flu virus, Interfax reports.
Bird farms will undergo veterinary inspections.
About 1800 birds were found dead in the region on Monday. 400 more were found later.
