President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said at a business meeting in Turkey that Tatarstan and Turkey could realize joint projects in manufacturing car parts, petrochemistry and IT technologies, RIA Novosti reports.
Minnikhanov reminded that a delegation of Tatarstan visited Bursa to attend a forum on manufacturing of car parts in October. The next such forum will be held in Naberezhniye Chelny (Tatarstan).
Tatartan has a network of innovative structures, including Khimgrad, Kamsky industrial park Master, Alabuga exclusive economic zone, an IT park, exclusive economic zone for IT technologies in Innopolis.
Turkey is the main foreign investor of Tatarstan. It has four projects worth $1 billion of investments at the Alabuga exclusive economic zone. Two more factories will be launched in the zone for September 2013.
Turkish Minister for Economy Zafer Caglayan said that he was planning a mass delegation of Turkish businessmen to visit Tatarstan in April 2013.
