Figures prove the success of ASELSAN, which climbed from number 93 to 86 in American Defense News magazine's "World's Top 100 Defense Companies" list. ASELSAN's next target is to attain 50th position on the list, TRT reports.
ASELSAN's 2009 defense turnover was $643.1 million.
Picked by Social Security Agency as the biggest premium paying company in Ankara, ASELSAN is the first and only Turkish defense company to have a place among the world's top 100 defense contractors.
The?company holding first place on the list is America's Lockheed Martin with $42 billion annual turnover. Britain's BAE Systems comes 2nd with $33.5 billion, and another American company, Boeing, comes 3rd with $31 billion turnover.
