This year Georgia will spend a total of 1,300,000,000 lari ($708 million) on its regions, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili said today at a meeting with heads of regional and municipal authorities, Business Georgia reports.
He said that the priorities this year are roads, gas, water supplies, irrigation systems, river bank strengthening, schools and tourist infrastructure development.
He added that the authorities will provide each village with a skilled agriculturist and doctor.
