Russian Premier Vladimir Putin has observed the construction of 2014 Olympic facilities in Sochi, RIA Novosti reports.
The head of ‘Olimpstroy’, Teymuraz Baloyev, described work on constructing the central stadium and main ice arena, whose constructions started in June 2009. It will have a capacity of 12,000.
Baloyev also told Putin about the student groups involved in construction. 8% of the workers are students. Last year they had 200 students working, this year they have 1,500.
The mountain skiing resort currently has 81 facilities under construction with 20,000 people involved. 12 facilities have been completed.
Putin also had a meeting with the student groups involved in construction.
