Robert Dudley, President of BP PLC, has arrived in Baku to meet Rovnag Abdullayev, President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR), TURAN reports.
They discussed stabilization of oil extraction at the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli Field and the gas structure at the Shah Deniz Field. Solution of technical problems is especially important during winter periods.
Dudley will also meet Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev who had criticized BP for reduction of oil extraction and loss of over $8 billion.
The BP president was supposed to visit Azerbaijan a week ago.
