Because of improper execution of a phytosanitary certificate, almost 20 tons of Iranian mandarins have been sent back to their country of origin, after reaching the Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint on the Azerbaijani-Russian border.
"The citrus fruits were stopped because of the lack of a stamp and a signature of an official from the phytosanitary department of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in violation of international standards. As a result of inspections by state inspectors of Rosselkhoznadzor in Dagestan, a protocol on administrative violation has been completed, and this product has been returned to the exporting country," the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor in Dagestan reports.
