The State Corporation Turkmengeologia plans to purchase equipment in the UK to develop the Galkynysh gas field. This should involve complex wellhead blowout equipment produced by the Tobago Corporation.
The transaction was approved by a special resolution approved by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Trend reports
The Galkynysh field is the second-largest gas field in the world. Its reserves are estimated at 26.2 trillion cubic meters. The total area of the field may be about 1800 sq. km. It should be put into service later this year.
