The State Oil Fund of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOFAR) has received the first portion of gold weighing a ton from Brink’s Global Services in Baku today.
13.934 more tons of gold will be delivered later. The first portion will be stored at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and then moved to a new building of the SOFAR.
The SOFAR plans to buy 16 more tons of gold to secure price risks.
