Azerbaijan increases use of country's hydropower potential

This year Azerbaijan will continue commissioning small-scale
hydropower plants and will initiate construction of similar five or
six new facilities, Trend reports.

Earlier "Vestnik Kavkaza" reported that Azerbaijan is actively
implementing a number of projects related to the use of alternative
energy sources in an attempt to reduce dependence on fuel power
plants. According to research, hydroelectric power plants will be able
to produce 16 billion kilowatt / hours for the republic in the future.
