Accession to OECD is priority for Russia

The accession to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is a priority in Moscow's economic policy, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedevsaid on Thursday, RIA-Novosti reports.

“After our country joined the World Trade Organization, this accession [to the OECD] is our most important priority, which we take into account when we take our domestic decisions and amend our legislation… We, of course, are very interested in this process proceeding as quickly as possible. We are confronted with technical difficulties and the position of some countries. Nonetheless, we expect this process to be completed,” RIA-Novosti quotes Medvedev as saying at a meeting with the OECD Secretary-General, Angel Gurria.
