In October 2012, the EBRD expected the GDP of Azerbaijan to grow by 3%, it expects 4% now, Trend reports.
The GDP of Azerbaijan in 2012 increased by 2.2%, compared with 2011, to 53.9 billion manats (about $69 billion). The nominal GDP growth in 2012 totaled 3.6%. The GDP per capita totaled 5884.5 manats ($7490.5).
Growing oil production and expansion of the non-petroleum economy will boost the GDP in 2013.
The Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee predicts the GDP to grow by 3-4% in 2013.
