Iran threatens to sanction enterprises that refuse to fulfil contracts

The head of the Iranian Oil Ministry, Massud Mirkazemi, declared today that Iran will take retaliatory measures against foreign companies that break contracts with the Islamic Republic after the introduction of international sanctions, RBK informs.

The United Nations Security Council imposed new sanctions against Iran on the 9th June. These measures are aimed at arms deliveries to Iran and Iranian banks in other countries. The USA also prohibited several petroleum companies from delivering oil-products to Iran. These sanctions are due to Iran's nuclear program - USA, Israel and some other states suspect that Iran is trying to create a nuclear weapon.
