Trade turnover between Georgia and EU increases by 12 per cent

Trade turnover between Georgia and the European Union amounted to $2.780 million in 2012, which is 12 percent greater than last year, the Georgian Statistics Service told Trend.

Exports amounted to $252 million (a 17 percent increase), imports - $2.427 million (an 18 percent increase).

In general, the share of the EU countries in Georgia's trade turnover hit 27%, including 15% exports, and 31% imports. In 2011, this figure was respectively 27, 19 and 29 percent.
