Turkey once again reproaches Iran regarding high prices on gas

Ankara has once again expressed its dissatisfaction with the cost of Iranian gas. The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, Taner Yildiz said that, despite Turkey's appeal to the International Court of Arbitration, Iran has not yet discussed with Ankara  new prices on natural gas.

He added that if the Iranians announce new prices, Ankara will be ready to consider and discuss them, Anadolu reports.

According to a contract signed in 1996, Iran supplies 30 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey every year. Turkey has repeatedly stated that the price of Iranian gas is significantly higher than the market price, and appealed to the International Court of Arbitration in March 2012 regarding the prices.
