The Presidents of Georgia and Azerbaijan, Mikheil Saakashvili and Ilkham Aliev, discussed the realization of energy and infrastructure projects of regional and global importance during their meeting in Batumi, Gruzia Online reports.
Mikhail Saaakashvili announced that in 2012 a four-lane autobahn will be built to connect Baku and Batumi. "For Azerbaijan it will be a direct highway to Istanbul," said Saaakashvili.
