The law on agricultural development came into force in Dagestan on January 1 and will increase grain production, RIA Dagestan reports.
The Dagestani Agricultural Ministry said that the republic had been growing less than 250,000 tons of grain. The law will increase production to over 500,000 tons before 2020 and provide forage for cattle.
Vegetable production will increase too.
