RusHydro has proposed formation of the Russian Water Holding to control plumbing and sewers and their modernization, Kommersant reports.
The Agricultural Ministry responded that existing laws and strategic documents for water economy and agriculture make realization of the idea fruitless. Authorizing the company to modernize the systems could cause conflicts with energy, shipping, fishing and irrigation organizations.
The final proposal will be presented to the president and Ministries for Agriculture, Energy and Transportation before February 10.
