The City Supervision Service in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi has tightened control over illegal housebuilding. Owners of illegal extensions will have to pay fines of 10,000 lari and dismantle the construction, reports Georgia Online. The fine applies only to extensions built after January 1, 2007. Land owners without appropriate documents will have time to return the building to its authentic view. If the conditions are not fulfilled, fines will increase to 30,000 lari.
