China becomes world trade leader

 

China has become the world trade leader, making the USA the second in the list of top traders, Bloomberg reports.

US exports and imports totaled $3.82 trillion, about 25% of the GDP, in 2011. The figure in China totals $3.87 trillion, or over 50% of the GDP.

According to HSBC analysts, China was predicted to become the trade leader only in 2016.
