The Abkhazian authorities were offered Russian-built pilotless aircraft at the presentation of the latest Russian engineering projects at Sukhumi airport, RIA Novosti reports.
Vice-President Alexander Ankvab, Premier Sergey Shamba, officials from the Interior Ministry, State Security Service and Emergency Department were present.The Russian products were presented by a company from Izhevsk called ‘Drone systems ZALA AERO’. Two drones were launched as a demonstration.
Shamba noted that the drones have a wide range of uses today, including traffic controlling, border guarding and helping in emergency situations.
